BC offense rocks in 6-2 win

The BC Eagles hockey team has now ripped off 6 straight wins after dismantling Yale 6-2 last night. Goals are coming from across a powerful lineup as Mike Hardman, Marshall Warren, Ben Finkelstein, Logan Hutsko, Aapeli Rasanen and Julius Mattila turned lamps red.

Highlights can be viewed here. The Eagles forward lines looked like this-Cotton-Matilla-Hutsko, McBain-Boldy-McPhee, Hardman-Newhook-Rasanen, Giles-McLaughlin-Walker.

BC scored two goals on the power play including a beauty by Logan Hutsko who spun out from the corner under heavy pressure and roofed in a missile under the crossbar. Mike Hardman scored his 4th goal when he spun quickly into shooting position to lift in a rebound goal in the second period.

The Eagles no longer have to rely on the number one line of Hutsko, Cotton and Mattila, as Newhook, Hardman, and Rasanen are scoring on a regular basis and Boldy (1 assist) is certain to follow.

This next stretch of 3 games starting against highly ranked Harvard and two against Notre Dame are going to be hotly contested. Harvard will try to skate with BC up and down the ice, while Notre Dame will try to slow down the Eagles with a tight-checking defensive game. York will have BC ready for Harvard on Friday at 4:30 to be televised on NESN. Harvard is undefeated at 6-0 but have yet to compete with a top-ranked team, while BC has five such games in the bank.
